Welcome to Gekkou-an!
Wall painting is exclusively drawn by Hideki Kimura, a prominent artist in Kyoto. The artwork represents the land of happiness whose symbol is a lotus flower. The frog represents our wishes that our valued guests can return again.
Japanese Style Room (two rooms)
Room also can be used as a bedroom. We can accommodate up to 4 people. Kyo-Karakami (woodblock painting method) crafted by skilled artisans are used on Fusuma doors in the smaller room. Enjoy the fine works which we have thought through to the very last detail.
Bed Room
Featuring Sealy mattress and Kyoto Rakuchu Takaokaya comforters. Enjoy our proudly chosen excellent quality bedding. Up to 4 people can be accommodated. Sleep comfortably in our bedding and enjoy your travels for the following day.
Garden
We have traditional Tsubo-niwa (a tiny courtyard) that can be admired from veranda at the back of the house. Composed of moss, Japanese maple tree, and the art of bamboo pipe of water. Oriental lamp illuminates the beauty of each season. This serene space brings you back to a traditional Kyoto.

Large mirror and countertop for your comfort. All towels are traditional Imabari Towels. Enjoy the top quality made in Japan.

Hisada Art Industry is a salon established in Kyoto with an over 120 year old history.
